International Human Rights Commission

Relief Fund Trust(IHRC-RFT)

Our job is to listen, assist, and connect you with the resources that will help you turn crisis into opportunity”.

Introduction

IHRC Relief Fund Trust first started as a registered charity in 2009 but its informal charitable activities and operations were being done on the platform of the International Human Rights Commission as an Intergovernmental Organization. The relief operations carried out so far were not limited to geographical boundaries. Either it was Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Iran or any other disaster-affected area. Our rescue teams remained clinging to the issue until resolved. Since its inception, the International Human Rights Commission – Relief Fund Trust as INGO has responded to several disasters and served hundreds of thousands of victims in various affected communities. Very soon, the organization’s scope of operations is being expanded beyond disaster relief to several sustainable human development projects and initiatives around the world to address the threats of Climate Change, biodiversity and environmental issues. In 2016 after the legal registration, the International Human Rights Commission Relief Fund Trust (As the Specialized Organ and INGO of the International Human Rights Commission (IGO) for Relief & Charity Activities) became one of the first agency of the Commission to acquire its Special Consultative Status at the United Nations- ECOSOC for promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Agenda.

History Reflects The Will To Marvelous Future Standing.

The International Human Rights Commission Relief Fund Trust, as INGO, is fully supportive of the AU-UN reforms and common positions to strengthen inclusive growth of The Least Developed Countries (LDCs) as well as stand ready to defend the Human Rights Charter of the United Nations and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) according to the aims and objectives of the International Human Rights Commission declaration in 1988, Rome, Italy.

The IHRC and all its organs, including the International Human Rights Commission Relief Fund Trust as INGO are aggressively promoting the UN SDGs-2030 in 70 countries-with representatives on various committees of the UN, EU, OIC, Commonwealth and other regional agencies-partnering in different countries with NGOs (in country) when the need arises in pursuit of creating better quality of life and certainly, with the sole aim of leaving no one behind. (Goal# 17 of the UN SDGs 2030).

An armed conflict between Israel and Hamas-led Palestinian militant groups has been taking place chiefly in and around the Gaza Strip since 7 October 2023, with clashes also taking place in the West Bank and Israel–Lebanon border. As of 30 December 2023, more than 21,000 Palestinians, including over 10,000 children, 6,200 women and 61 journalists have been killed. Flood In Pakistan- Aug 2022

On 25 August 2022, Pakistan declared a state of emergency because of the flooding. From 15 June to October 2022, floods in Pakistan killed 1,839 people, and caused ₨ 3.2 trillion ($14.8 billion) of damage and ₨ 3.3 trillion ($15.2 billion) of economic losses. The immediate causes of the floods were heavier than usual monsoon rains and melting glaciers that followed a severe heat wave, both of which are linked to climate change. The flooding was the world’s deadliest flood since the 2020 South Asian floods and was described as the worst in the country’s history. It was also recorded as one of the costliest natural disasters in world history. The 2022 floods submerged one third of the country, affecting 33 million people, half of whom were children. The floods damaged most of the water systems in affected areas, forcing more than 5.4 million people to rely solely on contaminated water from ponds and wells.

Here we can all join for a mutual goal to provide help and assistance to the less fortunate fellow human beings around the globe and to improve the quality of life in under-privileged countries and disaster-affected areas.Humanism teaches us that it is immoral to wait for God to act for us. We must act to stop the wars and crimes and the brutality of this and future ages. We have powers of a remarkable kind. We have a high degree of freedom in choosing what we will do. Humanism tells us that whatever our philosophy of the universe may be, ultimately the responsibility for the kind of world in which we live rests with us.

The Thar Desert is bounded on the northwest by the Sutlej River, on the east by the Aravalli Range, on the south by the salt marsh known as the Rann of Kutch (parts of which are sometimes included in the Thar), and on the west by the Indus River. Its boundary to the large thorny steppe to the north is ill-defined. Depending on what areas are included or excluded, the nominal size of the Thar can vary significantly.

The main source of living of majority of the people in desert is agriculture and animal husbandry. In past years there has been a tremendous increase in human population as well as animal population. This has led to improper control of grazing and extensive cultivation resulting into the deterioration of vegetation resources. The increase of human and livestock population in the desert has led to deterioration in the ecosystem resulting in degradation of soil fertility.
